We package your tires — safely and professionally.
Protecting tires so that they arrive at the customer clean, dirt-free, and undamaged. Our packaging machines make an important contribution to this.
Tires are a demanding item to package — round geometry, high unit weight.
Tire packaging for cars, trucks, and motorcycles covers a wide range of dimensions. A packaging machine for these products must be able to handle different sizes while also ensuring high throughput, since seasonal business allows for no long downtime.

Which packaging machine for your product?
Together we'll find the right solution!
Your product is unique. So are your packaging requirements. Our standard for film packaging is always the same:
"A pack has to be perfect!"
We act according to this principle. To ensure the packaging result is right in the end, a wide range of factors must be considered in advance. When choosing a suitable packaging machine, several machine types are generally possible candidates. But there is only one machine that, taking all factors into account, achieves the optimal packaging result. Together with you, we want to find exactly that Kallfass system.

Packaging requirements for tire packaging
Tires are stored, handled, and transported — often across several stages. Without protective packaging, the tread and sidewall collect dirt, oil, and moisture. A tightly fitted film pack protects the goods and keeps them clean — from storage all the way to delivery to the end customer.

Packaging principles for individual and stacked packaging
Individual tires are fully enclosed via full film wrap. The packaging material completely covers the tread and sidewall, forming a clean, stable unit for transport and storage. Kallfass offers specially designed machines for this application — including the Super Wrap series, which also efficiently packages large-dimension car and light truck types.
Film banderoles are suitable for bundling stacked goods. Several tires are combined into a stack and secured with a layer of film. This makes forklift transport easier and improves stability in storage. The downstream shrink tunnel then creates a form-fitted pack — the packaging material fits tightly around the stack, giving it the stability needed for long transport distances.
Seasonal business and optimal throughput performance
The tire trade is a seasonal business. In spring and fall, millions of drivers change their tires — warehouses and dealers then operate in multi-shift mode to handle the rush. During these weeks, packaging systems must process high quantities every day without slowing down. Kallfass machines achieve availability of over 98.5% in multi-shift operation — a decisive factor for processes where every hour of downtime causes direct costs.
Fully automatic systems take the goods directly from the infeed, package them, and hand them off to the downstream process — whether a palletizer, conveyor belt, or manual order picking. Integration into existing logistics systems is carried out on a project-specific basis. Conveying speeds, transfer points, and control interfaces are coordinated together with the customer. This creates a seamless packaging process with optimal runtimes.

FAQ
What dimensions can be packaged on Kallfass machines?
Kallfass tire packaging machines are designed for a wide range of applications. Passenger car tires from 13-inch rim diameter, as well as light truck versions, can be packaged on the Super Wrap. Motorcycle and bicycle tires are processed on side sealing machines or L-sealing machines. The exact machine selection depends on the tire type, weight, and required throughput.
Which packaging material is suitable for tire packaging?
PE shrink film is mainly used. PE film is tear-resistant, UV-resistant, and can be processed excellently on Kallfass machines.
How can stacks be packaged securely?
Multiple tires are combined and bundled with a film banderole. The shrink tunnel then creates a form-fitted, tightly fitting pack. The stack remains stable during transport and can also be stored in a space-saving manner.
What is the throughput performance of a tire packaging machine?
Throughput performance depends on the type, packaging principle, and degree of automation. Kallfass's fully automatic systems are designed for multi-shift operation during the seasonal business. The specific performance is tailored to the respective requirements as part of project planning.
Are Kallfass machines also suitable for heavy truck types?
Yes. The machines are built to be robust and designed for heavy goods. The conveyor system, sealing unit, and machine frame are matched to higher weights and larger dimensions. For specific requirements — such as goods over 60 kg — individual project consultation is recommended.
