Equipped with intelligent technology and high insulation, the shrink tunnels operate very energy-efficiently. Kallfass offers one of the most extensive ranges on the market. Suitable shrink tunnels are available for all types and sizes of goods, various films, and all performance ranges.

Versions

A shrink tunnel is the downstream unit in a film wrapping line: the fully wrapped or banderoled product passes through the heated tunnel, where the film is deliberately exposed to heat and shrinks tightly around the product as a result. The quality and consistency of the shrink result depend directly on targeted heat transfer.

Kallfass offers two technology families: the Compact series with a ring nozzle heating system for shrink films in full film wrap, and the Universal and Standard series with a register heating system for PE transport packaging.

Compact series: ring nozzle heating system

The patented ring nozzle heating system directs hot air at very high air speed through ring-arranged nozzles evenly onto the goods — from all sides, regardless of position on the conveyor belt. This prevents hotspots and uneven shrink results.

The integrated recirculation system returns heat energy to the circuit and reduces energy consumption during continuous operation. Infinitely variable controls for temperature, air volume, and product speed allow direct, straightforward operation. The shrink tunnel processes all common shrink films.

Universal and Standard series: register heating system

The register heating system is optimized for processing PE films, but also allows the processing of PO films.

The HV variants enable fusion sealing directly in the tunnel — fully enclosed packaging without separate welding tools or sealing units.

FAQs on shrink tunnels

Ring nozzle or register heating system — which fits my application?

Ring nozzles are for polyolefin shrink films up to 190°C in full film wrap. The register heating system is used for robust transport packaging and PE banderoles.

What is the HV variant?

HV stands for “blowing up lower film-device”. The film is blown upward inside the tunnel and fully enclosed on all sides through fusion sealing — without separate welding tools. This is useful when a banderole needs to become a fully enclosed transport pack.

Which Compact model is the right one?

The choice depends on tunnel width, tunnel height, and required tunnel length — based on product size, film, and required shrink quality. Kallfass provides product-specific consulting.

Can the tunnels also be combined with machines from other manufacturers?

The Compact series can be combined with all common film wrapping machines — including those from third-party manufacturers.
