Products made from wood, such as boards, battens, profiles, or entire furniture parts, can be packaged by our systems. Products for interior fittings, such as insulation material, wallpaper, carpet rolls, parquet, laminate, whole doors, or gate profiles, and many other products are packaged efficiently and safely, exactly to the customer's requirements.

Furniture parts, doors, windows, worktops, and floor coverings are among the most demanding goods in consumer goods packaging. 

The range spans from narrow wood battens and laminate packs to large-format door elements several meters in length. What these products have in common is a sensitive surface — decorative finishes, coatings, and veneers are susceptible to scratches, moisture, and construction site dirt. Packaging machines for wood, furniture, and interior fittings must reliably ensure this surface protection — while maintaining high throughput in series production.

When choosing a suitable packaging machine, several machine types are generally possible candidates. Flatpack furniture parts are produced in large quantities. The film serves several functions here: it protects the surface from scratches during transport, prevents moisture ingress during storage, and holds all components — the furniture part, assembly instructions, and accessories — together as a complete unit. Transparent films leave the decorative finish visible, confirming the decisive advantage in retail: the customer sees the product directly on the shelf without having to open the packaging.

With doors, windows, and worktops, weight and format present an additional challenge. Steel doors with accessories and installation instructions must be wrapped as a complete unit — precisely centered, securely sealed, and without any damage occurring during transport. Floor coverings, laminate, and parquet are bundled as packs and must withstand moisture ingress over longer storage and transport routes. Individual machine settings are required for each product group.
 

For flatpack furniture parts and medium-sized products, side sealing machines work precisely and with flexible format settings. Kallfass's innovative Universa Servo series enables continuous packaging without stop-and-go. Braking and acceleration movements of the products are eliminated, opening up new performance ranges compared to intermittent-motion packaging lines.

For extremely large-format goods, the fully automatic large-scale bundling machines Super Wrap 1300 and 1600 de Luxe are available. These machines efficiently handle even oversized furniture parts, slatted frames, and mattresses. With Kallfass's HV tunnel technology, laterally enclosed film packaging can be achieved. 
 

Furniture production runs in multi-shift operation — packaging machines must keep up efficiently with this rhythm. Transfer points, conveying speeds, and control interfaces are coordinated on a project-specific basis. Format changeovers between different product types can be quickly recalled via saved programs on the Easy Touch HMI — individual settings for each product group keep setup times to a minimum and the packaging process stable.
