Kallfass presented itself in Algiers at the Djazagro Fair

For the first time, Kallfass has presented itself on the dynamically developing North African food and beverages market in Algeria. Together with a local partner, the German Company presented its product portfolio of film packaging machines and can expect good follow-up business.

Algeria, the largest of the three North African countries, with an area 4 times larger than France, is developing dynamically in the agricultural products, beverages and foods sector. Algeria is the largest importer of food on the African continent. "Households in Algeria spend an average 45% of their income on food, which is considerable," says Jens Kallfass. "Just behind the oil industry in importance, the food industry contributes 40% of the country's total revenue. These are compelling reasons to present ourselves at Algeria's most important food fair for the first time," adds the CEO.

From 20 - 23 April 2015, the fair gates were opened for trade visitors in the SAFEX Exhibition Centre in Algiers. The annual Djazagro Fair was founded in 2003 and showcases the industry focus, food and beverages, as well as food processing and packaging machinery. "With our film packaging machines we can make a major contribution to protecting food and reducing its perishability, while at the same time decreasing waste," says Lars Kallfass, Project Manager in the Export Sales Team. "We are very confident that positive follow-up business will be developed from the contacts that we have made by participating in the fair."
