At the Kallfass Verpackungsmaschinen site in Nürtingen-Zizishausen, work to expand the production area has begun. By investing in this expansion of the production hall, Kallfass is setting a clear signal for the future. The project includes an extension to the existing production facility, as well as a redesign of the infrastructure to the new hall. The current production area will be expanded to 2,000 m². "We are pleased that after completion, the cramped conditions that prevailed at peak times will finally be history," explains Jens Kallfass, managing director of the Swabian film packaging specialist. Completion is scheduled for the autumn of this year. The company places great importance on sustainability, which is the case with this project as well. Thus, the tract will be efficiently supplied by a cogeneration plant that went into operation in 2009. This underlines the high value that Kallfass places on the responsible use of natural resources.
In addition to increasing the production area, an expansion of the Kallfass workface is planned for sales as well as in development and design; in some areas this has already taken place. On 1 July Hermann Oswald will join the Kallfass sales team. Mr Oswald is well-known in the packaging industry and has extensive knowledge of the market, which will help facilitate his main objective: marketing the new Logi Wrap 3D packaging technology in the shipping and logistics industry. Kallfass is looking for additional field service technicians to be able to continue to provide fast service response times.
